Quality and Craftsmanship - Processes of Fabrication

Qualität und Kunsthandwerk - Fabrikationsprozesse

In the industrialized nations of the United States and Europe, the high price of skilled labor combined with increasingly mechanized modes of production have pushed building projects away from hand made components.

In India a different set of dynamics describe the relationship between materials and labor. There, materials take up a larger portion of the project cost, while skilled labor is affordable and readily available. Because Indian construction components rely heavily on skilled craftsmen, customization incurs little additional cost. This dynamic powerfully affects the freedom of expression possible in interior finishes through bespoke furniture, cabinetry and
stone surfaces designed to precisely match the needs of each project.
